Vermentino di Gallura DOCG Superiore
Costarenas is a wine of marked character and a personality entirely its own. It captures the warmth of the summer sun that ripens the grapes for harvest, together with the pronounced minerality imparted by the granitic soils of Gallura. It comes into its own with seafood first courses and richly flavored grilled dishes.

Granitic sands, rich in iron with a good clay component
100% Vermentino, 35-year-old Guyot-trained vineyard, 3,000 vines per hectare
Hand-harvested in small crates in mid-September. Average yield: 50 quintals per hectare
Gentle pressing followed by temperature-controlled fermentation
At least 5 months on fine lees with frequent batonnage, followed by 1 month in bottle before release
Straw yellow with greenish highlights
Elegant, intense fruit-driven aromas with balsamic nuances
Fresh and enveloping, with citrus and orchard-fruit notes. Savory and mineral, with the classic bitter-almond finish
Excellent with seafood first courses. Serve at 10-12°C
